Bill Shockley - Pastor

Bill is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to Kathy for 39 years and has two children and five grandchildren.
He enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, being outdoors, working in the yard, and playing with the grandchildren. Bill believes in the Divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures and that man is separated from God because of sin. Bill believes the only way for a person to be right with God is through His Son Jesus Christ. Bill has been the pastor of Oak Ridge Baptist Church for 20 years.
His sermons are Bible centered, have a warm hearted evangelistic appeal and are presented to meet the needs of the people. We believe you would enjoy hearing the uncompromised, unchanging Word of God preached and taught by our pastor. Let this be your special invitation to worship with us this next Sunday.

George Covin - Minister of Music

George and his wife of 31 years, Linda, truly his partner in marriage and ministry, have two sons, Clay and Kyle. Raised by Godly parents in a family of 9 children, George’s personal relationship with the Lord began at age 7 followed by a “revival meeting” call into the ministry of music, a capacity in which he has served bi-vocationally over 35 years. In addition to Oak Ridge, George is affiliated with the “Singing Men of South Texas”, a group of 50+ regional church music leaders who sing together monthly in area churches and mission ministries. George’s passion for worship is “praise, not performance”, and his heart seeks to honor and glorify Him who we adore. I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise God to my last breath! May He be pleased by all these thoughts about Him, for He is the source of all my joy.
Psalms 104: 13 & 14.

Robert Jimenez - Minister to Children

Linda and I have been married for twenty-two years. We have two children Amanda and Eric. My walk with Christ began in my late thirties and constant prayer from my mother. To this day I can clearly hear her say, son get close to God and see what wonderful things he has in store for your life. Her prayer answered! August 15th, 2009 the great congregation of ORBC have entrusted me in becoming the children’s minister. Linda and I are grateful for this blessed opportunity to teach and share the love of Christ to the children of ORBC. What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you to may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and His son Jesus Christ, but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:3-7.
